Project Overview:

This project involved designing and implementing a visually appealing digital display for Durham College. This display utilized the brand’s colour scheme, typography and imagery to enhance the campus experience. Using a central content management system, I created and managed all of the content displayed on the screen.

By leveraging the power of digital signage, the display was able to provide timely and relevant information about campus events, news and resources all while promoting the college’s brand and its values.

Project Plan:

During the planning stage of this project, I focused on gathering all of the necessary materials, including external imagery and graphics, to ensure a smooth execution. I proceeded to create a comprehensive comp in Illustrator, which laid out my initial vision for the finished Digital Signage Project.

By taking these steps, it allowed me to visualize the overall design and layout of the project. By taking the time to plan and design the project in advance, I was able to streamline the implementation process.

To implement the Digital Signage project, I took a deliberate approach to designing and laying out the content. I started by experimenting with various color palettes for the logo, time, and weather sections before finalizing the layout. As I progressed, I focused on continuously improving the design.

Next, I worked on the news and ticker tape sections, carefully considering the padding size and speed to ensure optimal readability. After completing these sections, I created motion graphic advertisements and graphic videos, which were incorporated into the signage.

Throughout the implementation process, I prioritized attention to detail and a methodical approach to ensure the final result was of the highest quality.
